I am a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and I practice civil appellate litigation.
My legal career began in the Texas Legislature where I served as a healthcare policy analyst for Representative Garnet Coleman. I staffed the House Public Health Committee, on which he served as the ranking member, and advised him on all legislation heard in that committee.
After leaving the Legislature, I advised various healthcare non-profits and elected officials on emerging policy issues pertaining to disaster management, drug development, and vaccination programs.
In 2018, I received my law license and began practicing civil litigation in state and federal courts. My appellate work has received the support of the Texas Attorney General's Office through amicus briefing; shaped the interpretation of various laws by litigating issues of first impression; and advanced the interests of workers, patients, home owners, consumers, and tax payers.
My law firm is dedicated to supporting the public welfare and individual well being.

Speaker, II+C Symposium “Stem Cell Therapies in 2020: Healing, Hope, or Hype?”
I spoke with David Bales, president of the non-profit Texans for Cures, about the Federal Right to Try Act and the regulatory issues surrounding stem cell therapies. The Mississippi University for Women hosted this symposium on February 6, 2020. The symposium included a series of speakers who gave talks on: stem cell therapies, cutting edge applications of stem cells in laboratories, and the art history of cardiac medicine.
Texas Regenerative Medicine Summit
I served as the moderator of the Scientific and Legislative Panel at this event, which Texans for Cures hosted at the Texas Legislature on September 13, 2018. This event brought together leading research scientists in the regenerative medicine space and Senate leadership to discuss the state of regenerative medicine and what legislation would be helpful or harmful to Texas’ efforts to safely and efficaciously develop new medical treatments.
